#LIVE4LUCY

Lucy was born on June 21, 2000 - the first day of summer in Perrysburg Ohio. She was and always will be the sunshine in our life. She had a passion for making sure everyone was loved and knew it. Her family and friends were everything to her. She played softball, volleyball and basketball at a high level, she was a stellar athlete with a drive that could not be taught. At 14 years old she was carried off the court in an ambulance with her kneecap dislocated. She fought hard through each and every one of her 9 knee surgeries to get back on the court. Her hard work, drive and determination paid off with a scholarship to live her dream of playing college volleyball. The pain prevented her from continuing on and eventually she had to forgo her scholarship and just continue with her college education. She got to live her dream of playing college ball and she thrived and cherished the experience and for that we are very thankful.

She was attending college working full time and provided nanny services when time allowed.

She was given what she thought was a Percocet because she had cramps on January 29, 2021. Took the pill and she never woke up. I found her to be what I thought was sleeping in her room on January 30, 2021 and our lives, hearts and minds will never be the same when the detective said to us……..

“THIS LOOKS LIKE FENTANYL”
